A graveside service was held Saturday, October 19 in the Nolan Cemetery with Reverend Vic Meyer officiating. The service was directed by McCoy Funeral Home of Sweetwater.

Jerri was born August 31, 1932 in Sweetwater. She married Dewayne Morgan on October 17, 1981.

She was a member and clerk of the Nolan Baptist Church. She also was a member, clerk and treasurer of the West Side Baptist Church before it burned down.

Jerri worked for the Texas Bank and Trust Company from the time she was 17 until her retirement in 1997. She also worked for the draft board for a short period of time. She was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was past worthy matron of the Mamie D. Crane Chapter #1018 in Sweetwater. Jerri also served as a mentor to Phillip Nolan Grade School.

Survivors include her husband, Dewayne Morgan of Nolan; one son, Weldon Debusk of Seattle, Washington; one daughter, Brenda Brotsch and her husband, Darrell, of Sweetwater; one step-daughter, Laurie Morgan of Blackwell; one step-son, Michael Morgan of Snyder; two sisters, Jean Sterling of Ira and Carol Hodkinson of Seattle; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Naomi Landers Johnson; her father, Tom Johnson; and brothers Weldon Johnson and Howard Johnson.
